Road Rage Poem | Poetry Inspired

via Daily Prompt: Honk

Driving down the highway,  at about ninety five

Escaping rush hour, is the only thought on my mind

Weaving through traffic, as if the law don’t exist

To my surprise, what happens is this

I hear the honk of a horn, and flashing sirens

Pull over to shoulder, as though it where an island

My heart is beating, all frantic in silence

As the officer walks up, I feel a pat on my back

Wake up man, do you know where you’re at

You may even guess,  I was sleep on the job

But I didn’t get fired, thank you Bob

Like That One Here’s AnotherDubious Life Poem
