Help by Poetry Lobby

image

You know the other day I met this young man walking
It really hit home as he started talking
He says, I’m drowning in this chaotic world around me
No one cares to help, my soul continues screaming loudly

Just another casualty to circumstance
I say look to the future, forget the past because right now you have a fighting chance
As he walks away, he says thanks you know that means a lot
When I look back he disappears from the parking lot

Helping others others is what makes life surreal
In a world only meant to test your will
If someone needs a helping hand
Just know god is testing where you stand

Fathers Day by Poetry Lobby

image

Broken homes, abandoned kids
For some this is just the life they live
Misguided son and daughters
Immorally, walked out on by their fathers

Is it the death of verbal communication
Haven’t you heard, this our new form of conversation
I’d rather talk instead of text, this emoticon is how I’m feeling next
I’m concerned for this future where bound to get

It isn’t that people have forgotten fathers day
Rather society has groomed us all this way
Placing value on things of infinitesimal meaning
So children play play station, instead of house chores and cleaning

See it’s difficult for mother’s, when men don’t play their role
Your children run rampedly  out of control
This is a thank you to all of dads, who have consistently
Kept us on the right path

How To Find Love Guide by Poetry Lobby

image

Being single isn’t happiness, love is a tool that makes life worth living
As long as it’s 100 percent of your heart your giving
It’s impossible to be happy and yet alone
So you scour clubs for what is not at home

To impractical for money to buy you love
You can’t pay for what’s sent from up above
They say, the wealthy are not gratified
It’s true love that makes you satisfied

When you do find love try to embrace it
Just a how to find love guide by doing the basics

Time Travel

image

Tick… Tick…Tick the sound of the time clocks counting down our lives, you know it seems like those sand box days where just yesterday
I remember oh so vividly, those playgrounds on which we would play

Tick…Tick…Tick junior high in Mrs. Wilson class I would leave often on a restroom pass, oh there’s things I would change if I could go back
Skipping school with high school crushes, mad at mom and holding grudges

A firm believer that everything happens for a reason
So I’ve learned not to regret the things I’ve done
No time to worry about  the past, or directing a future that hasn’t been cast

In time the things are due will come, so let go of the past your running from
Insightful words to encourage a few, how fast time goes if I only knew
Plan for the worst and hope for the best, this way you’ll be disappointed less

The Motion

2010-07-22-Images-Tidalwave

The motion is the act in which you move

It’s something that we all go through

Ups and downs, good and bad

In peoples feelings happy or sad

But through it all it’s just the motion

like a flowing stream or rippling ocean

Some rich, some poor with nothing to loose

Those which fortune and fame did not approve

The motion is just a flow of life

so take what you got and make it right
